Overview
Radiation Therapist (Radiation Therapy Tech) travel assignment in Lancaster, OH, United States. Start date: 09/08/2026 for 8 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Work setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Travel – Temporary Assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Weekly pay: $2,528–$2,604.

Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

Deliver prescribed radiotherapy treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
Obtain patient history, answer questions, explain procedures, and observe for reactions during treatment.
Coordinate with physicists and the care team; schedule treatments and maintain safety and quality standards.
Verify prescriptions, diagnoses, chart accuracy, and patient identification prior to treatment.
Prepare treatment room and equipment; position and transfer immobilized patients with attention to safety and comfort.
Provide patient education on treatment effects and care of the irradiated area; reinforce physician and nurse recommendations.
Perform verification and port film exposures; adjust therapy as directed by the physician.

Requirements

Education: Associate degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy; Bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy preferred.
Licensure/Certifications: State of Ohio licensed radiation therapist; ARRT license; CPR certified. Ohio Department of Health license preferred upon submission.
Experience: 1–2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
Credentials: ARRT certification; active licensure as applicable; current CPR.
Ability to work in a hospital setting and in a travel assignment environment; good communication and multitasking skills.
