Full Job Description

Company History:

Moyer Radio Communications is a growing family owned and operated two-way radio dealer that has built its reputation on over 20 plus years of fair and honest treatment of its customers and employees. We are the leading provider of two-way radio communications to public safety agencies in Central Pennsylvania. We work very closely with Police, Fire, and EMS departments to provide mission critical solutions. Our mission is to offer quality equipment and service at a fair price to every customer. Scope of Work: Wiring and installing analog and digital two-way radios, laptops, partitions, radio consoles, docking stations, light bars, sound systems, and other electronics in various emergency vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Install and remove Emergency Lighting, Cages, Camera Systems, Consoles, Radios, etc
Provide basic maintenance of public safety equipment, including testing and repairing various equipment.
Perform routine preventative maintenance
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication

Requirements:

Experience with 12 Volt vehicle wiring systems preferred
Must have mechanical ability/experience
Ability to pass a drug test and background check
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must possess excellent communication and listening skills
Must have good organizational and time management skills
Must possess a strong attention to detail

Skills/Knowledge

Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Knowledge, skills, and mechanical aptitude regarding removal and replacement of automotive components
Ability to install, inspect, and service a multitude of electronics and vehicle equipment
Knowledge and skill with specific wire terminals, connectors and crimping tools
Basic computer knowledge
