Job Description:

The Certified Public Accountant is responsible for preparing, reviewing and analyzing financial reports, individual tax returns, and business tax returns. This position will play a vital role in our company ensuring compliance with the law and accuracy in accounting

Responsibilities:

Meet with clients and analyze client financial records.
Identify potential tax deductions and savings clients have not considered.
Advising clients about tax laws and how to meet requirements
Preparing and reviewing bookkeeping, sales tax returns, payroll and tax returns.
Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.
Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
Offer support and guidance during audits.
Other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
Ability to work overtime during tax season.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a CPA qualification
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a tax accountant or similar role preferred. A minimum of 2+ years’ experience required.
Ability to project confidence and build rapport with clients
In-depth understanding of current tax laws.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to help clients legally minimize tax burdens.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good understanding of Microsoft Office and accounting software, especially QuickBooks.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Valid driver’s license.
