Job Overview:

The Claims Processor plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate adjudication of dental insurance claims. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, computer-based environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in claims processing, dental insurance, medical insurance, or a related administrative role and the ability to quickly learn company systems, procedures, and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Process dental insurance claims accurately and efficiently using company systems and established procedures.
Review claim submissions for completeness, eligibility, and benefit coverage.
Verify policy information and ensure claims are processed according to company guidelines and plan provisions.
Identify and resolve claim discrepancies, missing information, and processing issues.
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to claims activity.
Communicate professionally with providers, internal departments, and team members regarding claim-related inquiries.
Support quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
Maintain productivity, quality, and turnaround expectations.
Assist with special projects and additional operational tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Prior experience in dental insurance, medical insurance, or claims processing
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Dependable, professional, and able to follow established procedures
Experience with dental terminology and CDT coding.
Experience working with proprietary claims systems.
Knowledge of EOBs, eligibility verification, and coordination of benefits
Previous experience in dental benefits, insurance operations, or healthcare administration
