Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic construction company (Spinieo Inc.) as a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver & Equipment Operator and become an essential part of our team. This energetic role goes beyond the seat of a truck: you'll operate a Tri-Axle Dump Truck and also run and transport small construction equipment — including Bobcat skid steers, mini excavators, and mid-size excavators. You'll be responsible for safely hauling construction materials, equipment, and freight to job sites across the local area, then putting that equipment to work once you arrive. Your expertise in driving, load handling, and machine operation will directly contribute to the timely completion of projects while ensuring safety and efficiency on every route. Duties

Safely operate a tri-axle dump truck, trailer, and construction equipment.
Operate small and mid-size equipment on job sites, including Bobcat skid steers, mini excavators, and mid-size excavators.
Load, transport, and unload equipment on trailers — including proper ramp loading, chaining, binding, and securement of machines for road transport.
Load and unload construction materials and freight accurately using forklifts or manual methods when necessary.
Drive route-specific deliveries to construction sites, adhering strictly to safety protocols and traffic laws.
Inspect trucks, trailers, and equipment daily for mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after use; perform routine maintenance checks, greasing, and fluid checks on machines.
Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit; utilize load straps, chains, binders, and tie-downs effectively.
Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance records in compliance with DOT regulations.
Communicate proactively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding route updates, delays, equipment needs, or safety concerns.

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid CDL Class A license.
Hands-on experience operating small equipment — Bobcat skid steers, mini excavators, and mid-size excavators — is required.
Experience hauling and securing equipment on trailers, including loading and offloading machines safely.
Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently.
Experience driving tri-axle dump trucks is highly preferred.
Familiarity with load and unload procedures for freight and construction materials.
Knowledge of safety standards related to trucking and equipment operation, including proper load securement and vehicle/machine inspections.
Delivery driver experience within construction or heavy equipment industries is a plus.
Ability to handle forklift operation for loading/unloading when required.
