Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Move-In Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations as it relates to the Medicaid Program, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization. This position requires a strong understanding of the medicaid program, case management, and financial processes within a healthcare setting.

Duties

Oversee financial transactions related to patient care, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with case management teams to facilitate discharge planning and ensure proper coding for services rendered.
Utilize ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to accurately document diagnoses and procedures for billing purposes.
Assist in the development of financial reports and budgets that reflect the organization's operational needs.
Maintain records related to monthly and yearly income verifications.
Provide support for audits and compliance reviews, ensuring all financial practices meet regulatory standards.
Work closely with social work departments to coordinate financial assistance for patients as needed.

Experience

Proven experience in finance or accounting roles within the healthcare industry is preferred.
Familiarity with medical coding practices (ICD-10, ICD-9) and case management processes is essential.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and their application in financial operations is required.
Experience in discharge planning or working within pediatrics or behavioral health settings is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, enabling accurate financial reporting and documentation.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
Experience with Medi, Yardi, Maximus, Abe
