Advanced Communications & Data in Lansing is a growing essential services telecommunications company and has an excellent opportunity for energetic and outgoing people to join an experienced team!
Support the existing accounting and operational teams with inventory control functions and project management accounting including preparation of journal entries, maintenance of balance sheet schedules and job cost ledgers. Assist with monthly closings and account analyses and support the senior accountants in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting team. Position reports to the CFO, who is a CPA, and will work closely with the operational teams.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Administer inventory control and valuation.
- Monitor job cost ledgers
- Review and process expense reports
- Preparation of journal entries
Assist with:
- general ledger maintenance
- reconciliation and maintenance of balance sheet accounts
- monthly financial reports
- analysis of general ledger accounts as requested
- month-end and year-end closings
- preparation of budgets and forecasts
- implementing and maintaining internal financial controls, procedures and related documentation
- payroll and human resources functions
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Accounting with 5+ years in telecommunications, construction and/or manufacturing experience.
General knowledge of:
- Accounting, business and financial principles and practices
- Technical accounting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant accounting software

Compensation will be based upon experience.
