Senior Structural Engineer | Grand Rapids, MI (Remote Flexibility)

What you will actually do

Serve as Engineer of Record and lead structural design and analysis from concept through construction documents
Design across steel, reinforced and precast concrete, masonry, timber and light-gauge framing, covering both gravity and lateral systems
Coordinate directly with architects, contractors, owners and developers, and represent the firm in front of clients and code officials
Seal drawings, own QA/QC on your projects, and manage scope, schedule and fee
Mentor and develop junior engineers, and help shape how the team grows

What they are looking for

BS in Civil or Structural Engineering (MS a plus)
Around 8+ years of building structural design experience, ideally with a stretch of that at a senior or lead level
PE license, or clearly on the runway to it (they will support you getting there)
Confident across common structural software (Revit, RISA, RAM, ENERCALC, AutoCAD and similar)
Someone who wants ownership, enjoys mentoring, and cares about doing the work properly
