Dave Loden Construction is looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Foreman to lead one of our roofing crews.
DLC has been keeping the weather out since 1985. We specialize in commercial and industrial low-slope roofing throughout Wyoming and the surrounding region. We are looking for a foreman who takes pride in doing things right, knows how to lead a crew, and can take responsibility for a commercial roofing project from start to finish.
This is a working foreman position. You will lead your crew in the field while being responsible for safety, quality, production, jobsite organization, and communication with DLC management and our customers.
What You'll Do
Lead and manage a commercial roofing crew on projects throughout Wyoming.
Plan and organize daily work to keep projects safe, productive, and on schedule.
Direct and participate in tear-off, roof preparation, and installation of commercial roofing systems.
Install and supervise installation of TPO, PVC and EPDM single-ply roofing systems.
Ensure roofing systems, flashings, penetrations, curbs, drains, edges, and details are installed correctly and to manufacturer requirements.
Read plans, specifications, details, and project requirements.
Train and develop crew members and ensure work meets DLC's quality standards.
Enforce company and OSHA safety requirements and maintain a safe, organized jobsite.
Track labor, materials, equipment, and job progress.
Complete daily reports, timekeeping, material requests, and other required project documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, general contractors, inspectors, manufacturer representatives, and customers.
Identify jobsite problems early and help develop practical solutions.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles assigned to the crew.
What We're Looking For
Required:
3 + years of commercial roofing experience with low-slope roofing systems.
Previous experience leading a roofing or construction crew.
Strong knowledge of TPO, PVC and/or EPDM installation and details.
Ability to independently organize and run day-to-day field operations.
Ability to lead, teach, and hold crew members accountable.
Strong attention to roofing details and workmanship.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability and willingness to travel to projects throughout Wyoming and occasionally surrounding states.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and safely work at heights.
Ability to regularly lift and carry approximately 50 lbs.
Live within a 120 mile radius of Buffalo, WY
Preferred:
1+ years of experience as a foreman or crew leader.
Experience with manufacturer-warranted commercial roofing systems.
Experience with Carlisle, Burke, Tremco or similar commercial roofing manufacturers.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Experience operating roofing equipment, lifts, telehandlers, and other construction equipment.

The Person Who Will Succeed at DLC
We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be constantly told what to do.
A successful DLC foreman can look at the day's work, organize the crew, anticipate problems, maintain production, and still make sure the roof is being installed correctly. You should be willing to work alongside your crew when needed while also understanding that your primary responsibility is to lead the job.

Our primary testing facility is located in Casper, Wyoming; alternate locations may be approved but must be arranged by the applicant. Employment is contingent upon compliance with this policy.
