Full Job Description

Overview

S.S. Sampliner & Co., Inc., is a commercial debt collection agency.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative/Collections Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative and collections work to support to the Company Executives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to a strong work ethic. This position requires a blend of handling commercial collection cases, office management tasks, data entry, compliance work, and helping with daily operations tasks.

Duties Required

This position will require working with our President/Vice President in making phone calls on behalf of our clients.
This position would require handling some collection cases.
Execute daily office operations.
Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail, utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, and our proprietary software.
Organize and maintain files, ensuring easy access to important documents.
Assist in event planning and coordination for company functions or meetings.
Maintain calendars for team members, scheduling appointments and managing meeting logistics.
Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution.
Support office management tasks.
Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and workflow within the office.
Creation/Management of sending out of New Cases.
Various client reporting projects
Importing emails into our proprietary software
Management/Operation of our compliance platform
Scanning
Creation/Sending out emails to various entities our company works with
Special Projects working within our software/database
Special Projects working directly with our President/Vice President

Skills Required

Proficient in general office practices and procedures.
Strong proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
Experience in event planning and coordination.
Ability to manage files efficiently, both electronically and physically.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
Competent in data entry with a focus on accuracy.
Familiarity with office management tasks.
Proficient in calendar management, scheduling appointments effectively.
High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
