Primary ResponsibilitiesInstruction
- Deliver engaging virtual instruction aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
- Facilitate both live and asynchronous learning experiences.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Utilize instructional technology to create interactive and meaningful learning experiences.
- Maintain high academic expectations while providing personalized support.
Student Support
- Build positive relationships with assigned students.
- Monitor academic progress and provide timely interventions.
- Collaborate with Student Success Coaches to improve attendance, engagement, and achievement.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments and assessments.
Family Engagement
- Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and student support meetings.
- Respond to emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Partner with families to support student success.
Collaboration
- Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
- Attend faculty meetings and professional development sessions.
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, Student Success Coaches, and support staff.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture.
Compliance
- Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
- Support state assessments and accountability initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable school, state, and federal policies and regulations.
QualificationsRequired
- Valid Texas teaching certificate appropriate for high school instruction.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with educational technology and virtual learning platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred
- Online or blended teaching experience.
- Experience serving at-risk or diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of personalized learning and data-driven instruction.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
