Full Job Description

Position: Data Entry Clerk – Customs

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk with Customs experience to support import entry

processing and documentation. The ideal candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in the

Customs field and be familiar with Customs entry forms, ABI, ACE, import transactions, classifications,

manifests, and in-bond shipments.

Candidates should be able to clearly explain the Customs processes they have handled in previous roles.

Key Responsibilities

· Enter and process Customs-related information accurately.

· Review import documentation for completeness and accuracy.

· Assist with Customs entry processing through ABI and ACE.

· Work with CF-3461, CF-7501, and CF-7512 documentation.

· Process and review import transactions.

· Assist with tariff and HTS classifications.

· Review manifests and in-bond documentation.

· Process IT, T&E, and IE entries as required.

· Maintain accurate electronic and physical records.

· Communicate with internal departments and customers regarding documentation discrepancies.

· Follow established Customs compliance procedures.

· Perform general data entry and administrative duties as needed.

Required Customs Knowledge

Candidates must have working knowledge of:

· ABI – Automated Broker Interface

· ACE – Automated Commercial Environment

· CF-3461 – Entry/Immediate Delivery

· CF-7501 – Entry Summary

· CF-7512 – Transportation Entry and Manifest

· Import transactions

· HTS / tariff classifications

· Manifests

· In-bond shipments

· Immediate Transportation (IT) entries

· Transportation & Exportation (T&E) entries

· Immediate Exportation (IE) entries

Qualifications

· Minimum 1 year of experience in the Customs field required.

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Strong understanding of ABI and ACE.

· Experience with Customs entry documentation and import transactions.

· Familiarity with CF-3461, CF-7501, and CF-7512.

· Knowledge of manifests, in-bonds, and classifications.

· Accounting knowledge preferred.

· Minimum typing speed of 40–45 WPM.

· Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

· Must be able to read, write, and speak both languages fluently.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Good organizational and communication skills.

Schedule

Base schedules may include:

· Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

· Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

· Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM

Candidates must have schedule flexibility and be available for a rotating weekend schedule:

· Saturday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

· Sunday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM

· Some holidays may be required.
