FlexTrades is seeking experienced CNC Machinists for traveling contract assignments across the U.S. These roles involve setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machines to produce precision components according to specifications. Ideal candidates are adaptable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines)
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Load programs, make offsets, and perform tool changes
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor machine adjustments
- Maintain quality standards and adhere to tight tolerances
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Document production and quality data as required
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience (setup and operation required)
- Experience with CNC Mills and/or Lathes (multi-axis a plus)
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel and work contract assignments of 3–6 months
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical certification or apprenticeship preferred
Preferred Skills (Varies by Assignment)
- Experience with Haas, Mazak, Fanuc, Okuma, or similar controls
- Editing CNC programs at the machine
- Experience machining aerospace, medical, automotive, or industrial components
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or ISO environments
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $36-38/hour
- Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half
- Access to a full suite of benefits
- Travel Pay to and from the project
- Paid lodging (Single-Occupancy Hotel Room)
- Per diem ($45/day)
