Summary

The Research Associate I assumes the responsibility of performing basic, biological, behavioral, social science or public health research within the specified research program. The Research Associate provides technical and analytical supportfor various research programs across all Moffitt divisions and may have administrative and training responsibilities, as assigned. Research Associates work under the general supervision of a Principal Investigator (Pl) and may work as part toof a team under the direct supervision of more senior lab personnel. Research Associates participate in the planning, development, and implementation of original experimental procedures within the overall scope of the project.

Join Dr. Hoffe's Lab as a full-time Research Assistant I at Moffitt Cancer Center, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and contribute to innovative research that has the potential to improve patient outcomes.

In this role, you will work closely with Dr. Hoffe and the research team to support ongoing scientific studies and research initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity for students or early-career researchers seeking experience in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.

Position Highlights

Gain hands-on experience in translational and/or laboratory-based research.
Work alongside experienced scientists and research professionals.
Contribute to projects that support Moffitt's mission to prevent and cure cancer.
Develop valuable skills in data management, scientific methodology, and laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities
Research Support

Assist Dr. Hoffe and research staff with projects related to the laboratory's research portfolio.
Collect, organize, and maintain research data.
Prepare study materials and research documentation.
Support participant follow-up activities, when applicable.
Perform data entry and record maintenance.

Data & Research Operations

Assist with data collection and abstraction activities.
Support research databases and study documentation.
Help ensure data accuracy and organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Some research hands on experience.

Salary Range

$18.64 - $28.53

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
