Patient Advocacy Coordinator (Nurse)

Center for Innovative GYN Care

Organization Center for Innovative GYN Care (CIGC)

Location Rockville, Maryland — office-based

Reports to Practice Administration / Patient Advocacy lead

Works with physicians and the CIGC team, the nurse practitioner (NP), scheduling, and insurance authorization

Requirement Nursing background — LPN, RN, or NP (active, inactive, or retired). Active license not required.

Schedule Full-time; flexible hours with rotating weekend coverage

Compensation $80,000–$100,000 base + performance incentive and productivity pay + benefits

About CIGC and the Role

Center for Innovative GYN Care (CIGC) is a nationally recognized minimally invasive gynecologic surgery practice led by Dr. Danilyants and the CIGC team. The practice specializes in advanced, minimally invasive treatment of fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic pain, and other complex gynecologic conditions, giving women effective alternatives to open surgery and, in many cases, the ability to keep their uterus. Its results are among the best documented in the field: more than 20,000 procedures performed, over 99% of patients discharged the same day, a complication rate near 0.1%, and outcomes published across six peer-reviewed studies.

CIGC performs these procedures in its own accredited ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) rather than in hospitals. This is the foundation of the practice’s value-based approach: complex surgery delivered at lower cost, with recovery at home the same day and a level of personal attention larger hospital systems rarely provide.

The Patient Advocacy Coordinator is the first point of contact for women who reach the practice through its advertising, website, and referrals, and the person who guides them from that first inquiry to a scheduled consultation. Working from the practice’s approved patient materials, the coordinator provides information about CIGC’s conditions and procedures, answers patient questions, gathers the information needed for a consultation, and schedules the patient appropriately. A nursing background is required so the coordinator can discuss conditions and procedures accurately and recognize when a question belongs with the clinical team. It is a meaningful role with flexible hours and strong earning potential for a nurse who is effective at helping patients move forward.

Responsibilities

Patient contact and communication

Respond to new patient inquiries from Google ads, landing pages, website forms, phone, email, and text, with a target first response within 15 minutes during staffed hours.
Answer patient questions about the practice’s conditions and procedures using approved patient materials.
Refer clinical questions to the NP, and questions about surgery or surgical candidacy to Dr. Danilyants and the CIGC team.
Follow up by phone, text, and email until the patient schedules a consultation or declines.

Patient education

Learn the practice’s conditions and procedures — fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, ovarian and pelvic mass conditions, hysterectomy, and myomectomy — and the content of each landing page.
Explain what the practice does, how its minimally invasive approach compares with conventional surgery, and what patients can expect.
Stay current as materials and procedures are updated.

Scheduling and intake

Collect and verify contact information, insurance, referring clinician, condition, prior surgery, records, and patient goals.
Schedule surgical consultations with Dr. Danilyants and the CIGC team.
Schedule non-surgical care with the nurse practitioner — Pap smears, discussion of non-surgical treatment options, general gynecology, preventive care, routine follow-up, and postoperative visits. The NP does not handle surgical consultations.
Confirm records, imaging, insurance, and visit reason before the appointment; manage waitlists, cancellations, and no-shows.

Records and insurance coordination

Obtain releases and request office notes, imaging, operative reports, pathology, and lab results.
Route eligibility, benefit, and authorization questions to the billing and authorization team.

CRM and lead tracking

Use GoHighLevel (GHL) to record and update each inquiry, avoiding duplicate records.
Record the original lead source and preserve campaign, form, and landing-page attribution.
Update pipeline stage, appointment and records status, clinician assignment, and next steps; report any form or workflow problems.

Coordination and compliance

Refer clinical questions and non-surgical concerns to the NP, and urgent or surgical matters to Dr. Danilyants and the CIGC team.
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and communication policies.

Qualifications

Nursing background — LPN, RN, or NP training and clinical experience. Active license not required; retired and inactive nurses are welcome.
Knowledge of gynecologic conditions, or the ability to learn them.
Clear telephone and written communication.
Reliable follow-up and accurate documentation.
CRM and EHR experience; GoHighLevel experience a plus but can be learned.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus.

Schedule

Full-time with flexible hours arranged around the practice’s coverage needs.
Includes rotating weekend coverage; patient inquiries arrive seven days a week and prompt response is what converts them.
No overnight shifts or on-call.
Approved remote coverage may be used for weekend and extended-hours response.

Compensation and Benefits

Base: $80,000 to $100,000 per year, based on background and experience.
Performance incentive and productivity pay tied to consultations scheduled and completed and to show rate. Because this role directly drives the practice’s consultation volume, compensation is structured to reward results: coordinators who consistently convert inquiries into completed consultations earn well above base, with target total compensation of approximately $115,000 to $145,000 for strong performers.
