Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and on-site Full Charge Bookkeeper to lead and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate financial records across all entities, ensuring timely reconciliations and reporting, directly supervising our international accounts team, coordinating with our external accounting firms, and enjoys working in a high energy environment. The ideal candidate will combine technical accounting expertise with strong leadership and communication skills to ensure the finance function operates efficiently and with accountability. This full-time position reports to the Executive Team.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting Operations

Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy across multiple business entities
Handle full-cycle accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R)
Perform daily and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Process or oversee payroll and ensure compliance with all tax and labor requirements
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for leadership
Coordinate with external accounting firms for tax filings, audits, and year-end close
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments
Ensure financial transactions comply with internal policies and procedures
Maintain accounting systems and recommend process improvements

Team Supervision

Supervise our international accounts team, providing training, guidance, and accountability
Review team outputs to ensure accuracy in billing, reconciliation, data entry, and reporting
Set priorities, assign responsibilities, and track progress of team deliverables
Conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations
Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the finance team

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 5 years of full charge bookkeeping or financial management experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and payment processors
Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
Experience managing or supervising accounting staff
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple business entities and cost centers
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Experience working in international or multi-currency environments
Background in professional services, healthcare, or laboratory operations
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with multiple priorities
