The Opportunity

Our North Las Vegas hotel is undergoing a full renovation and conversion from Comfort Inn & Suites to Spark by Hilton. We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Hotel Assistant General Manager / Sales Manager to help build demand before opening, support a successful Hilton conversion, and lead the hotel into its next chapter.

This is a sales-forward dual role, expected to spend ~60% of its time on sales and revenue generation and 40% on hotel operations. The ideal candidate is a proven hotel sales professional who is energized by prospecting, relationship-building, and measurable results, and who also wants broader leadership exposure. This position offers meaningful advancement potential into either hotel sales/commercial leadership or hotel operations/general management.

Reporting: General Manager and Above-Property Leadership

Key ResponsibilitiesSales and Revenue Development

Develop and execute a pre-opening sales action plan that builds base business and market awareness before the hotel relaunch.

Identify, prospect, and secure corporate, construction, government, military, medical, relocation, extended-stay, group, sports, tour, local negotiated-rate, and other demand-generating accounts.

Conduct outside sales calls, local business visits, site tours, client meetings, networking, and community outreach; represent the hotel professionally in the North Las Vegas market.

Respond promptly to leads, RFPs, proposals, group requests, and negotiated-rate opportunities, with disciplined follow-up through conversion or closeout.

Build and retain productive client relationships, manage account performance, and coordinate service recovery or follow-up for key accounts.

Partner with the General Manager and revenue resources on pricing, availability, promotions, and strategies to improve occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and total revenue.

Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, account notes, production, and follow-up records; monitor competitors, local demand generators, and market trends.

Pre-Opening and Hotel Operations

Support renovation and conversion readiness, opening checklists, Hilton brand requirements, operating procedures, system implementation, team onboarding, and training.

Under the General Manager's direction, help oversee Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance; coordinate schedules, train and coach team members, and reinforce accountability and guest-service standards.

Serve as Manager on Duty and perform General Manager functions when assigned; resolve escalated guest issues and support safety, security, and service-recovery procedures.

Assist with daily and weekly reporting, payroll administration, budgeting, forecasting, guest and financial controls, accounts receivable, and other property-level administrative responsibilities.

Coordinate closely with operations so groups, corporate travelers, extended-stay guests, and key accounts receive a consistent, high-quality experience.

Remain hands-on and flexible during the pre-opening and ramp-up periods, including stepping into operating needs when necessary.

Qualifications

A minimum of one year of direct hotel sales experience is required; two or more years is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success prospecting for and developing hotel business across corporate, group, extended-stay, negotiated-rate, or similar segments.

Experience with a Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, Choice, or comparable branded hotel is preferred; Hilton and select-service experience are especially valuable.

Hotel supervisory, operations, or management experience is preferred, but does not replace the required hotel-sales background.

Working knowledge of hotel sales processes, RFPs, account management, revenue metrics, PMS/CRM or brand sales systems, and Microsoft Office.

Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, organization, judgment, and follow-through; able to work independently and take initiative.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Ability to travel locally for outside sales and work a flexible schedule based on client and hotel needs.
