Position Overview:

A Day in the Life:
As a Registered Behavior Technician at Nevada Autism Center, you will typically have a schedule that involves working with 2-3 clients a day in clinic. Here's what a typical day might look like:
- 8:30 am - 12:00 pm: Begin your day with your first client, implementing individual skill acquisition and behavior plans, and collecting data on progress.
- 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm: Take a lunch break between clients or cover a lunch break and eat lunch with a second client. During lunch sessions, work on mealtime behaviors, such as using utensils, sitting with friends, and running programs in NET.
- 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Finish your day with your second or third client, implementing individual skill acquisition and behavior plans, and collecting data on progress.
Throughout your day, you will be integrating our core values into your work - empowering the clients we serve, utilizing the team, and having fun!

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ABA interventions that encourage socially acceptable replacement behaviors to help clients build and improve their communication, social, and problem-solving skills.
- Implement treatment plans designed by BCBA/ LBA in clients' homes, schools, and treatment center; Provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings.
- Assist behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition.
- Collect and record accurate data to monitor progress and treatment effectiveness.
- Communicate with clients, parents, and caregivers regarding clients' progress.
- Perform other administrative duties as requested to assist team members.

Qualifications:
- Preferred: Some college, Basic Life Support (CPR) certificate
- Required: High school diploma, current RBT certification and State of Nevada license
- Energetic, kind, dependable, and with excellent communication and collaborative skills

Hiring Proces at Nevada Autism Center
Step 1: Initial Interview
- Format: If you meet the pre-screening questions (e.g., current certification and state licensure), you will be invited to an in-person interview at our clinic.
- Content: During the interview, we will ask you a series of ABA-specific questions to gauge your understanding of the field, experience in the field, and approach to working with children and families. There will also be a client interaction portion of the interview, where you will be paired with a child, and the interviewer will observe your play skills, contrived NET opportunities, and interactions with the child.
- Confirmation: We will contact you 24-hours before your scheduled interview time to confirm the appointment. Please respond by the end of business day to confirm the scheduled interview.
Step 2: Final Steps
- Feedback and Decision: After the in-person interview, our team will review qualifications, resume, interview answers, and child interactions to decide. We strive to make quick decisions, but all decisions are made thoroughly to ensure the best fit for the company.
