Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM PST
Availability: 24/7 client support availability for critical client needs

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager – Mid-Market to join our team and take ownership of strategic client relationships across the logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, and automotive industries.

This is a high-impact, relationship-driven role for someone who understands complex business environments and knows how to become a trusted partner to clients. You will manage a portfolio of mid-market accounts, develop relationships with key decision-makers, identify opportunities for growth, and serve as the primary advocate for your clients within the company.

The ideal candidate is commercially minded, highly organized, responsive, and comfortable working with operationally demanding customers where downtime, security, efficiency, and responsiveness directly impact their business.

This role requires a 6:00 AM–3:00 PM PST office schedule and the ability to be available 24/7 for critical client needs. The successful candidate understands that our clients may operate around the clock, particularly in logistics, transportation, manufacturing, and automotive environments.

Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Client Relationships

Own and manage a portfolio of mid-market clients within the logistics and automotive sectors.
Build strong, long-term relationships with executives, operations leaders, facility managers, IT teams, security personnel, and other key stakeholders.
Become a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
Conduct regular business reviews to understand client priorities, challenges, and upcoming initiatives.
Maintain a high level of responsiveness and professionalism across all client interactions.
Participate in client lunches, meetings, site visits, industry events, and other relationship-building activities.

Client Advocacy & Internal Coordination

Serve as the concierge for client needs within the organization.
Coordinate with operations, service, engineering, project management, sales, and other internal teams to ensure client requests are handled effectively.
Take ownership of issues rather than simply passing them to another department.
Track client concerns through resolution and communicate proactively throughout the process.
Escalate critical issues appropriately and remain engaged until the client is satisfied.

Business Development & Account Growth

Develop and execute account strategies designed to increase retention, revenue, and customer lifetime value.
Identify opportunities for additional services, technology upgrades, system expansions, and new locations.
Proactively ask for new business, referrals, introductions, and expansion opportunities.
Understand the client's business objectives and connect those objectives to solutions that provide measurable value.
Develop relationships across multiple locations and business units to expand account penetration.
Partner with sales and technical teams on complex opportunities and strategic pursuits.

Logistics & Automotive Industry Focus

Develop a strong understanding of the operational challenges facing logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, and automotive organizations.
Understand the importance of uptime, operational continuity, facility security, asset protection, employee safety, and rapid issue resolution.
Build relationships with customers operating multiple facilities, distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing plants, dealerships, or automotive-related locations.
Identify business challenges that may create opportunities for technology, process, service, or infrastructure improvements.
Stay informed on industry trends, customer priorities, and competitive developments.

Client Satisfaction & Retention

Monitor account health and proactively identify potential risks to customer retention.
Take immediate ownership when a client is dissatisfied.
Work directly with the client and internal teams to develop recovery plans and restore confidence.
Turn challenging customer experiences into opportunities to strengthen the relationship.
Maintain accurate account plans, activity records, forecasts, and customer information.

Executive-Level Relationship Management

Establish credibility with senior decision-makers and executives.
Communicate complex technical or operational concepts in a clear, business-focused manner.
Lead conversations around strategic initiatives, budgets, performance, and future needs.
Negotiate effectively while protecting both the client relationship and company objectives.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in account management, strategic sales, customer success, technical sales, or a related client-facing role.
Demonstrated success managing mid-market or enterprise-level accounts.
Experience working with customers in logistics, transportation, automotive, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, or related industries strongly preferred.
Proven ability to retain and grow existing customer relationships.
Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex accounts simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and coordinate multiple internal departments.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to client service.
Comfortable analyzing account data, identifying trends, and developing account strategies.
Experience with CRM systems and maintaining accurate account activity and forecasting.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operationally demanding environment.
Willingness to participate in client meetings, lunches, site visits, and industry events.
Ability to work on-site Monday–Friday from 6:00 AM–3:00 PM PST.
Must be willing and able to provide 24/7 availability for critical client needs and escalations.

Within the first year, a successful Senior Account Manager will:

Build strong relationships with key decision-makers across their assigned accounts.
Establish themselves as a trusted strategic partner rather than simply a vendor representative.
Maintain high customer retention and satisfaction.
Identify and close expansion and upsell opportunities.
Generate referrals and new business from existing relationships.
Improve communication and coordination between clients and internal teams.
Develop a clear strategic plan for each major account.
Become highly knowledgeable about the operational needs of logistics and automotive customers.
Successfully manage critical client situations while maintaining customer confidence.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
