Full Job Description

MC Carrier LLC – North Las Vegas, NV
$25.00 per hour | Monday–Friday | 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.
On-site | Fleet Maintenance

MC Carrier LLC is looking for an experienced Truck Breakdown Coordinator to help keep our drivers safe and our fleet moving.

You will be the main point of contact when a truck or reefer trailer breaks down on the road. You will diagnose problems, find repair vendors, control costs, track repairs, and keep everyone updated until the equipment is back in service.

This role is a good fit for someone with hands-on experience in trucking, diesel repair, roadside service, towing, or fleet maintenance. You must be able to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure.

Pay and Schedule

$25.00 per hour
Monday through Friday
2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
On-site in North Las Vegas, Nevada

What You’ll Do

Answer calls from drivers dealing with mechanical failures, tire blowouts, accidents, and other roadside emergencies.
Make sure the driver and equipment are in a safe location before starting the repair process.
Ask clear questions and collect fault codes, dashboard warnings, photos, sounds, and other important details.
Review diagnostic trouble codes using ELD and fleet telematics systems.
Find qualified repair shops, mobile mechanics, tire services, and heavy-duty towing providers.
Use preferred vendors when possible and find qualified local vendors when needed.
Get written repair estimates and expected completion times.
Approve authorized work and track each repair through completion.
Review quotes and invoices for parts, labor, service fees, and unauthorized charges.
Arrange a hotel or other transportation for the driver when needed.
Review daily Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and give drivers clear instructions.
Update every breakdown in DriverPro, the Breakdown Board, and the breakdown email.
Keep Dispatch, Operations, Maintenance, Safety, and the driver updated on delays and repair progress.
Send complete repair details to the Breakdown Manager so a purchase order can be issued and the breakdown can be closed.

What We’re Looking For

At least 5 years of transportation experience in commercial driving, diesel or fleet maintenance, heavy towing, roadside service, or a related role.
Strong knowledge of commercial trucks, diesel engines, DPF and aftertreatment systems, air brakes, and reefer trailers.
Knowledge of FMCSA and Department of Transportation requirements.
Ability to manage several active breakdowns at the same time.
Ability to set priorities based on safety and urgency.
Ability to stay calm and make quick, cost-aware decisions.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to guide drivers through basic troubleshooting steps.
Strong follow-through and attention to detail.
Comfortable using email, text, Google and Microsoft tools, Axon, DriverPro, Samsara, Omnitracs, and other online systems.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position in North Las Vegas.
Fleet breakdowns are time-sensitive.
You must provide a complete handoff at the end of your shift.
You may be contacted outside scheduled hours if important information is missing from the breakdown email or shift handoff.
