Job Title: Licensed Barber / Barber Apprentice
Job OverviewWe are looking for a motivated, reliable, and professional barber to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about barbering, enjoys working with clients, and wants to grow in a positive shop environment.
Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. If you have a strong work ethic, good attitude, and are serious about improving your craft, we want to hear from you.
ResponsibilitiesProvide quality barbering services including haircuts, fades, tapers, beard trims, lineups, shaves, and grooming services.
Consult with clients to understand their desired look and provide professional recommendations when needed.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work station at all times.
Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures for tools, clippers, razors, capes, and work areas.
Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming experience for every client.
Stay on schedule and communicate professionally with clients and team members.
Assist with shop duties such as sweeping, cleaning, greeting clients, and helping maintain a professional shop atmosphere.
Be open to learning new techniques, improving speed and quality, and receiving feedback from experienced barbers.
Build and maintain client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
QualificationsMust have a valid barber license or be currently in barber school/apprenticeship, depending on state requirements.
Basic knowledge of barbering services such as fades, tapers, beard work, lineups, and clipper/scissor cutting.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
Willingness to learn, grow, and take direction.
Ability to keep a clean and sanitary work environment.
Preferred SkillsExperience with fades, tapers, beard trims, razor lineups, hot towel shaves, and modern men’s grooming styles.
Comfortable working with different hair types and textures.
Ability to use booking or payment software is a plus, but not required.
Social media/content creation skills are a plus.
