About Us:
About Us
At Willbanks Design, we design custom cabinetry for clients who have decided their space deserves more than the ordinary. Every project is a collaboration built around how people live and the spaces they will gather in for years to come. Our showroom is in Summerlin, and our work spans kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and every space in between where design and daily life meet.
The Role
This role is equal parts design and sales. You will own the client experience from first conversation through final walkthrough. Designing with intention, closing with confidence, and ensuring the finished space reflects what was promised. The expectation here is full ownership. That includes the sale, the follow-through, and the initiative to grow. The designers who thrive here do not wait for the next opportunity, they create it.
Responsibilities
From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, you own the experience. That includes:
– Guiding clients through material, layout, and finish selections. Listening carefully and tailoring every recommendation to their specific space
– Conducting on-site measurements, developing complete cabinetry designs in 2020/Flex Design software, and building polished presentations accurate, functional, and ready before every appointment
– Coordinating with trades, vendors, and contractors to ensure the design translates seamlessly from concept to completion
– Following our established workflow process without exception and completing revisions accurately and promptly
– Presenting proposals with confidence and closing with a clear sales ask, every time
– Meeting monthly sales goals consistently. Warm leads are provided, but the initiative to generate more is expected and valued
– Actively networking, attending industry events, and cultivating professional relationships that generate opportunities and referrals over time
– Managing multiple clients simultaneously at varying stages, every follow-up handled
– Keeping CRM records, quotes, and project files current and accurate at every stage
– Reviewing all orders against designs and floor plans before submission
– Conducting site visits, quality checks, and final walkthroughs
– Gathering photos, videos, client testimonials, and referrals at project close
– Opening and closing the showroom on scheduled days and other duties as assigned

What Our Team Would Tell You
We asked the people already doing this role what they would want someone new to know.
This is not just design and layout. There is real coordination behind every project with trades, vendors, and timelines that require as much attention as the design itself. But there is also freedom. You are not stuck behind a desk or in a cubicle.
They would also tell you that this team does not hide data. What is working gets shared. What is not working gets addressed. Team meetings are real conversations and if you are falling behind or need more time, speaking up early is not a weakness here, it is expected. Time blocking works. Taking thorough notes works. Being realistic about your time and communicating early works.
How to Apply
Submit your resume with a cover letter. We review every application. Those without a cover letter will not be considered. Your cover letter should answer two questions: What is the most complex project you have sold and how did you handle the client's biggest hesitation? In a few sentences tell us why you believe you are the right fit for this role.
Why Willbanks
Every project we take on begins with a conversation and ends with a space someone will gather in for years. The designer who joins us next will be part of that, for every client they work with and for every year they are here. We are not looking for someone to fill a seat. We are looking for someone ready to build something worth remembering.
