MRI Technologist – Travel

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of recent MRI Technologist experience required
Current BLS certification required
Active New York State ARRT certification required
Injection license required
Ability to scan independently without another MRI technologist on site
Experience scanning inpatient, ER, and outpatient populations

Job Details:

Shift Type = Evenings
Shift Hours = 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
Assignment Length = 13 Weeks (04/26/2026 – 07/25/2026)
On‑Call = None
Holidays = None
Weekends = None
Patient Ratio = Varies by census
Equipment = Siemens Espree MRI Scanner
EMR = Epic

Description of job:
SnapCare is seeking an experienced and highly independent MRI Technologist to join the imaging team at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. This role requires the ability to perform MRI scans independently, as the technologist will be working with an imaging aide rather than another MRI technologist.
The MRI Technologist will be responsible for scanning inpatient, emergency department, and limited outpatient cases while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and adherence to departmental protocols. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and confidence working autonomously are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of independent MRI scanning experience
Current BLS certification
Active New York State ARRT certification with injection license
Proficiency operating Siemens Espree MRI scanners
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Strong understanding of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols
Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills

Responsibilities:

Perform high‑quality MRI scans independently according to physician orders
Prepare and position patients safely and accurately for imaging procedures
Administer contrast agents as required within scope of licensure
Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond to emergencies
Ensure MRI safety compliance for patients, staff, and equipment
Document imaging procedures accurately in Epic EMR
Collaborate with imaging aides and department staff to maintain workflow efficiency
Maintain equipment readiness and report any operational issues promptly
