About the Job
Pursuit seeks to hire a Relationship Manger in Latham NY. The Relationship Manager is responsible for working directly with the Internal Lending Group (ILG) & Pursuit staff members, underwriters, borrowers, bankers and their applicable professionals throughout the lending process. In this role, one will be engaged early on in the process, assisting with internal and external Small Business Administration (SBA) 7(a) & various Pursuit Community Finance (PCF) product loan referrals and inquiries, from initial conversation up to coordinating a transition to the Closing team upon SBA approval and assist with post-approval items as necessary.
What You’ll Do:
- Reviews internal and external SBA 7(a) and PCF loan product referrals and inquiries, for eligibility and viability determination.
- Communicate with Borrower on program requirements, terms and conditions to ensure Borrower is amenable to the loan terms and conditions, as applicable to the program requirements.
- Manages loan requests from initial conversation to finalizing project & structure, write up loan submission for submission to the credit department, working with credit analysts and credit officers towards completion of a credit memorandum.
- Coordinate with Loan Processors on application package collection, Ventures input and perform site inspections, when applicable.
- Present loan to Senior Staff Loan Committee with recommendation for loan decision and facilitate post-approval handoff to legal for closing, while assisting with post-approval items, as necessary.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Associate degree with 2 years of relevant experience will be considered.
- Credit Analysis / Underwriting Experience Preferred.
- Prior loan officer experience or similar role preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and databases.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Customer service focus.
- Highly organized and able to balance various projects and responsibilities at once, in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information
- We will give consideration to and provide training for veterans interested in a career in finance/ banking provided that the applicant has completed at least two years of college with an accredited institution.
- Final candidates must pass all pre-employment screenings, including background check, credit check, and drug screening.

Based on our compensation benchmarking survey, the estimated salary range for this position is $50,000 – $70,000 and is commensurate with education and experience.
