Overview
SanaView Farms is an award-winning winery, cafe, and wedding venue set on a stunning 52-acre historic organic farm in Pennsylvania's breathtaking Laurel Highlands. Our tasting room and cafe welcome guests every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and our wedding venue sits just steps away, hosting celebrations that couples describe as the best weekend of their lives. We are the winner of Wedding Wire's 2024 and 2025 Couple's Choice Awards along with Best of Weddings recognition, and our growth has not slowed down since.
We are now looking for one exceptional person to become our Winery General Manager. This is one of the most important hires we will make this year. You will help run the daily operations of our winery, weddings, and private events alongside our incredible team. If you are the kind of leader who takes genuine ownership of a place, who notices the small details that make guests feel cared for, and who wants to build something remarkable alongside the owners rather than simply clock in and out, we would love to meet you.
What You Will Do
Winery and Cafe Operations
- Oversee the tasting room and cafe on our Friday through Sunday schedule, setting the tone for service, hospitality, and pace from open to close.
- Build weekly staff schedules that match our expected volume, and adjust in real time when a busy Saturday or a large event demands more coverage.
- Hire, train, and develop our front of house, kitchen, and support team so that every guest receives the same warm and polished experience.
- Lead pre-shift meetings, set clear service standards, and hold the team accountable to them with kindness and consistency.
- Oversee bar and cafe inventory, assisting our kitchen manager with ordering, receiving, par levels, and waste control, so we are always ready for a busy weekend.
- Work the floor and the bar during peak periods, because our managers lead from beside the team rather than from behind a desk.
- Help plan and execute our live music nights, seasonal events, and tasting experiences that keep guests coming back all season long.
Weddings and Private Events
- Work directly with wedding couples and their families to create unforgettable celebrations that exceed every expectation.
- Manage event setup, coordination, and breakdown with hands-on involvement from beginning to end as needed.
- Schedule and lead the wedding staff, including bartenders, servers, and setup crew, so that service runs seamlessly on every event day.
- Assist the wedding coordination team with planning records, contracts, payment milestones, and client communication so that nothing ever falls through the cracks.
- Solve problems quietly and quickly on event days, because the best managers fix things before anyone else knows there was a problem.
Leading the Whole Operation
- Serve as the point person for both sides of our business on weekends, moving fluidly between the winery and weddings as the day requires.
- Build and improve the systems, checklists, and standards that allow this business to run smoothly and consistently.
- Communicate clearly and often with the owners about what is working, what needs attention, and what we should do next with a focus on bringing solutions to the table - not problems.
- Step in wherever you are needed, whether that means bartending a rush, greeting a bride, or helping reset a room for the next event.
What We Are Looking For
- Several years of leadership experience in hospitality, such as a restaurant, winery, brewery, hotel, country club, or event venue, with real responsibility for a team and a shift.
- A positive and energetic attitude that matches our team culture and elevates every guest interaction.
- Full weekend availability since Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are the heart of this role.
- Comfort managing two things at once, because a wedding and a busy tasting room often happen at the same time.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple weddings, staff schedules, vendors, and complex logistics simultaneously.
- Genuine warmth with guests and genuine fairness with staff, along with the confidence to hold a high standard.
- Physical capability for an active role that includes setup, breakdown, standing for long stretches, and lifting up to fifty pounds.
- An exceptional work ethic and a whatever-it-takes mentality when it comes to delivering an extraordinary experience.
- RAMP certification and ServSafe certification are a plus, and we are happy to help you obtain them if you do not have them yet.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our farm in Champion, Pennsylvania.
Why You Will Love Working Here
- You will join a rapidly growing business with remarkable customer loyalty and a team culture that people genuinely enjoy being part of.
- You will spend your days in a stunning natural setting on a historic organic farm with the Laurel Mountains as your backdrop.
- You will have real authority to shape how this operation runs, rather than executing someone else's playbook.
- You will have significant room to grow as we continue to expand our winery, our cafe, and our event business.
- You will work alongside owners who are on-site, invested, and committed to your success.
- You will never have two days that look exactly alike.
Compensation
Our starting salary range varies based on experience, attitude, and willingness to contribute beyond the core responsibilities of the role. We value team members who grow with us and take ownership of our shared success, and we are prepared to invest accordingly in the right person.
Ready to Join Our Team?
We are looking for someone who sees this as far more than a job. We want the person who wants to help build something special, who takes pride in a room that runs beautifully, and who understands that a wedding day and a Saturday afternoon on the patio both deserve the very best we have. If you bring energy, dedication, and a real passion for hospitality, we want to hear from you.
Please apply with your resume and a short note telling us why this role is the right fit for you. We read every single one.
