Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Plasma Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC plasma cutting machines to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output, adherence to safety standards, and efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative fabrication projects in a fast-paced environment that values precision and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines, ensuring accurate alignment and calibration for each job.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine cutting parameters and material requirements.
Program CNC plasma machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create precise cutting paths.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on industrial equipment to minimize downtime.
Conduct dimensional measurements using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part accuracy and quality standards.
Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards in production.
Collaborate with team members on materials handling, tooling setup, and packaging finished products for shipment or assembly.

Requirements

Proven experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Knowledge of CNC programming languages, including G-code, and experience with CAD/CAM software.
Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
Mechanical aptitude with understanding of shop math, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
Experience working with various industrial equipment including press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and fabrication tools.
Valid forklift certification or experience with materials handling equipment is a plus.
Basic understanding of safety standards in manufacturing facilities and factory experience is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
