Full Job Description

The Care Technician (BHT) Position is a member of the multidisciplinary team, who is directly involved in providing quality care for clients, facilitate meetings and providing and implementing a structure for before and after hours and weekend activities. The position requires walking, interacting, and observing clients. The Potential candidate must be able to remain on their feet throughout their shift. The Customer Care Coordinator works within the facility’s policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards of the State and Federal regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Drive and transport patients as directed, obeying all traffic laws and adhering to all safety regulations
Proper documentation of all patient information using the appropriate forms in a timely manner
Monitor all properties and maintain comprehensive notes of all witnessed patient behaviors every 15-30 minutes.
Maintain the safety and security of all patients during supervision
Administer drug tests as instructed by supervisor
Clean and replenish rooms and surrounding areas before new patients arrive and after patients discharges
Clean and replenish kitchen and break area after use
Fill out all required paperwork for drug tests
Maintain shift notes during each patient interaction
Notate and capture images required to ensure the safety of the patients
Ensure all properties, including Residences, are always immaculately maintained
Clean and inspect company vehicles daily
Ensure patient attends their scheduled activity
Report any maintenance issues in a timely manner
Facilitate bag searches upon new intake or upon review
Assists in Emergency Situation
Recognizes crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions based on training and experience
Report directly to Manager, all requests either personal or concerning patient must be submitted in writing
Maintain healthy boundaries while also acting as a trusted guide/confidante to patient
Comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable.
Understands and maintains the confidentiality of patient information and records
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Knowledge of the disease concept of addiction, 12-step recovery program, and confidentiality practices
At least 2-5 years’ experience in a substance abuse treatment setting
Strong documentation skills in adherence with DCF and other standards
Proficient computer skills; preferred experience with Kipu EMR and Windows OS
Ability to work 40+ hours if needed
Military Background and Law Enforcement Experience is a plus
2-3-year Clean driving record
Must pass a Drug Test, Background Check, and Local Sheriff Office Screening.
