Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as an Assistant Manager - Restaurant and take the lead in delivering exceptional dining experiences! Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including overseeing food preparation, kitchen activities, and front-of-house service to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service standards.
Supervise staff training and development, providing coaching on food handling, customer service, POS system operation (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols.
Oversee inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce waste, and manage food production efficiently.
Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and ensure proper reconciliation at shift end.
Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules, supervising team performance, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
Monitor food safety standards and ensure compliance with local health regulations through regular inspections and staff training.
Assist with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and cost control initiatives to maximize restaurant profitability.
Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, addressing guest concerns promptly, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
Collaborate with management on menu planning, culinary quality assurance, and catering or banquet services when applicable.
Participate in interviewing potential team members to build a strong hospitality team aligned with our service standards.

Experience

Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on team management, staff training & development, and shift supervision.
Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking.
Hands-on experience with inventory control, food safety management (including HACCP principles), and budget management within a hospitality or food service setting.
Prior roles involving restaurant management or assistant manager responsibilities are highly desirable.
Strong understanding of hospitality management principles including customer service excellence, food handling procedures, and culinary operations.
Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing staff, conducting training sessions, and managing team dynamics.
Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
