About the Role
We're hiring an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager (VPM) to lead the day-to-day operations of our hospital. Working in close partnership with our Medical Director, you'll take ownership of the business side of veterinary care so our medical team can focus on delivering outstanding patient care and client service.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves animals, thrives on organization, and knows how to get the best out of a team — all while keeping the hospital running smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.
What You'll Do
Operations & Client Experience
- Oversee the end-to-end client experience, from first phone call to follow-up care
- Develop and implement strategies to improve hospital efficiency and workflow
- Oversee medical records and practice management software (DaySmart experience a plus)
- Ensure hospital policies and best practices meet or exceed industry standards
Team Leadership & HR
- Hire, train, and mentor hospital staff
- Implement and maintain workplace procedures and expectations
- Lead with empathy and consistency in a fast-paced hospital environment
Business & Financial Management
- Manage billing, ordering, and inventory for equipment and supplies
- Apply sound financial and inventory management practices
- Oversee social media presence and marketing efforts to support practice growth
Compliance
- Maintain OSHA/DEA compliance and meet all governmental and legal obligations
- Stay current on regulatory requirements affecting veterinary practice operations
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for animals and an interest in the animal health industry
- Prior management experience, ideally in a healthcare or veterinary setting with 1 year of veterinary experience preferred
- Degree in business management or a related field preferred
- Strong computer literacy; familiarity with DaySmart practice management software a plus
- Solid understanding of financial management and inventory control
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven leadership ability with a calm, consistent approach under pressure

Location
