Dispatcher
Olathe, KS

Position Description

The primary function of the Dispatcher is to coordinate our professional independent contract drivers with accuracy, courtesy, and exceptional service, helping drivers maximize their revenue and earning potential. This position requires a self-motivated professional who can think quickly, exercise independent judgment, and interact with delivery professionals in a professional and courteous manner daily.A successful Dispatcher will have the ability to work effectively with a diverse driver pool while balancing contractor and customer requirements.This is a full-time, in-office position located in Olathe, Kansas and is not eligible for remote work.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and manage loads in an efficient and cost-effective manner
Serve as the first point of contact for contract drivers and manage all aspects of the dispatch process, from load assignment through delivery, including resolving any issues that may arise
Maintain consistent communication and positive professional relationships with sales teams and customers
Monitor contract drivers’ daily activities and current orders to ensure accurate pick-up and delivery
Prepare drivers’ daily deliveries in accordance with customer performance standards to meet on-time delivery requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively and professionally; collaborate with cross-functional teams to address service issues as needed
Advocate for and maintain a strong commitment to safety, with a focus on Hours-of-Service compliance
Perform other duties as assigned

Specific Competencies

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of administrative or customer service experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Transportation industry knowledge or experience preferred
