Full Job Description

Medical Director – Correctional Health | North East
Full Time |

Armor Health is seeking an experienced Regional Medical Director to lead and mentor in our North East region (PA,VA) This is a rare opportunity to make a real impact in correctional healthcare while shaping clinical standards in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for the management, oversight, adherence to federal and state correctional health care standards and institutional regulations and guidelines in the provision of medical care for the facilities within the designated region
Follow established policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards
Communicate performance and service standards and expectations to Medical Directors within the designated region
Implement policy and protocol defined by Chief Medical Officer
Meet with Chief Medical Officer about quality of care, policy, procedure, and records issues and develops best practice medical, clinical support staff, and process management protocols
Participate in setting staffing levels in region and assures appropriate training for scope of service provided
Provide Medical Directors with guidance in the supervision of the facility medical staff, including Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners

What You’ll Need

MD or DO with board certification or eligibility
DEA license and current CPR certification
Pennsylvania & Virginia medical license (or ability to obtain)
Supervisory experience in healthcare (correctional preferred)
Ability to pass Level 2 background check and drug screen
