Job Title: Housekeeper

Reports to: Environmental Services Director

Position Type: Full or Part-time

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the common areas, living quarters and building grounds are clean, sanitary, and visually pleasing to residents, staff & visitors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Housekeepers are required to complete a bi-weekly cleaning schedule and provide laundry services as requested. Common areas will be sanitized and tidied daily including dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing showers and toilets and washing floors. Housekeepers are expected to adhere to all infection control procedures and follow detailed safety protocols including wearing PPE if required. All employees are expected to be aware of and voice concerns related to a residents’ behavior or change in living conditions. Concerns should be reported immediately to the Head Housekeeper or a member of the Leadership Team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Six (6) months – one (1) year experience in housekeeping preferred.

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

· The ideal candidate must have good judgement, be able to maintain composure under pressure, be an excellent communicator and respect confidentiality. A sensitivity and respect for differences of all types, including age, religion, marital status, native language, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, background, ethnicity/race, and culture is expected.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to lift, push, and pull approximately 25 lbs.

· Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to work with and tolerate cleaning chemicals and supplies.

· Must have reliable transportation and ability to clear a PA Criminal Background Check.

SHIFT AVAILABLE:

Monday through Friday 7:30am – 2:30pm (FT) or 7:30am - 12:30pm (PT) some flexibility in hours permitted. Full benefits are available to those working 35+ hours per week on a consistent basis.
