Job Purpose/General Summary:
The Driver is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of goods and products from customer business establishments. The Driver will assist and perform production duties as requested or required. The Driver will assist, perform, or supervise general maintenance and repairs to plant facility, equipment, and vehicles as requested by the Facilities Operations Manager.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00am to 12:00pm
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of production and linen contract goods per established
schedules.
2. Perform and/or assist in all aspects of laundry and floor mat pick up and delivery.
3. Adhere to all organizational and DOT guidelines and regulations governing vehicle
operation and maintenance.
4. Complete all required forms, logs, and reports in a timely manner.
5. Report all customer concerns or vehicle concerns to the Facilities Operations Manager in a timely manner.
Duties of Position: Delivery and Pick-up
1. Ensure prompt and timely pick-up and delivery according to established schedule.
2. Perform or supervise weigh in of linens and record weights on daily weigh in sheets.
3. Perform or supervise loading and unloading of laundry carts to/from delivery vehicles.
4. Ensure pick-up and delivery of floor mats from customers.
5. Ensure placement or storage of clean floor mats per customer specifications.
6. Complete all required paperwork associated with pickups and deliveries.
Duties of Position: Vehicle Maintenance and Utilization
1. Adhere to Preventative Maintenance schedule for company owned vehicles.
2. Perform and ensure vehicle cleanliness and safe operational condition.
3. Perform vehicle operational checks prior to utilization of vehicles.
4. Ensure safe operation of vehicle and adhere to applicable state regulations.
Duties of Position: Maintenance
1. Perform routine equipment and facility maintenance as required or requested.
2. Document and record maintenance repairs performed.
3. Perform or assist in snow/ice removal from doorways, sidewalks, driveways, and loading/unloading area.
4. Perform or assist in facility grounds upkeep as required or requested.
Duties of Position: Production
1 Ensure laundry quality control standards are maintained and adhered to.
2. Supervise, perform, or assist in all areas of laundering and linen processing as requested.
3. Ensure compliance with all organizational safety policies, procedures, and programs.
4. Ensure timely completion of laundry per established contract schedules.
5. Supervise, assist, or perform in-house janitorial duties.
Duties of Position: General
1. Report all incidents/accidents involving clients, staff, or other personnel within same day and document within 24 hours.
2. Attend all scheduled meetings and training classes as requested or directed.
3. Ensure appropriate opening, closing, and security of facility.
4. Report adverse client behaviors and incidents with immediate notification to Director of Employment Services.
5. Report customer concerns to Facility Operations Manager and Executive Director as soon as possible.

A. Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
B. Specialized Experience:
None
C. Other certifications, licenses, or skills: Ability to read, write and understand the English language sufficient to communicate with clients, staff, and customers. Ability to compare, compile, analyze, coordinate, and synthesize data and information. Must possess Iowa Class D Chauffeurs license or be able to obtain within 30 days and meet insurance company’s standard of insurability. Individual must have a safe Iowa DOT driving record.
D. Relations to others: Ability to supervise, negotiate, communicate, and instruct clients and subordinates. Must possess strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to act independently and determine methods of operation to maintain production schedules.
E. Physical Demands (Strength): Very Heavy – exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects and carts.
F. Physical Demands (Movement): Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, fingering and handling, or with accommodations
G. Physical Demand (Auditory & Visual): Talking, hearing, and sight sufficient to communicate with staff, clients, and public, or with accommodations. Must be able to tolerate noisy environment or with accommodations.
H. Environmental Conditions: Ability to tolerate seasonal weather changes. Must be able to work in hot and humid or cold and dry environment. Ability to work in restrictive training environment.
I. Equipment Used: Laundry production equipment to include commercial washers/extractors, dryers, floor polisher, power washer, and equipment used in production of laundry. Operate vehicles to include cars, vans, straight truck and pick-up trucks. Other equipment to include barrel movers, pallet jacks, and hydraulic lift gates.

Confidentiality & Background: Must not have been convicted of abuse, molestation, violent acts, assaults or serious crimes. Must adhere to the confidentiality policies of LSTC and HIPAA.
Must not be listed on DHS Medicaid Sanction List or OIG Medicaid Exclusion List.
