J BLACK FINANCIAL GROUP, a successful and rapidly growing boutique wealth management firm, is seeking an Associate Financial Planner to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This is an entry-to mid-level position with the opportunity to learn, develop, and grow through the JBFG Wealth Management Enduring Vision Pathway. This role is essential in supporting our wealth management team while elevating the client experience, ensuring every interaction leaves clients feeling cared for, supported, and understood.

With plans to double in size every few years, we are looking for talented, hard-working individuals who not only excel in their roles but are also committed to the vision, direction, and growth of the enterprise as a whole.

The firm provides comprehensive, fee-based financial planning, fee-based investment advisory solutions, education funding strategies, holistic wealth management, retirement planning and risk management (which includes life insurance, disability insurance, income annuities and long-term care insurance).

Responsibilities:

Build fluency in JBFG's wealth management approach to actively pursue growth and promotion through the JBFG Wealth Management Enduring Vision Pathway career path.
Support wealth management team.
Draft fee-based plan discovery letters, plans, existing client plan updates and recommendations.
Perform AA, AL analysis and rebalancing reports.
Prepare materials for client meetings.
Gather statements, benefits booklets, etc. for fee-based plans.
Prepare and update client meeting agendas.
Complete recaps, case notes and tasks.
Completes client financial plan updates and provides synopsis.
Answer routine service requests and client questions.

Requirements:

Bachelors’ Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Ability to follow through and execute on company objectives.
Always do what’s in the client's best interest.
Professionalism, high standards and diligence.
Champions positivity in a fun, collaborative, energic team environment.
Growth Mindset (Kaizen).
Has GRIT.
Maintains highest levels of client confidentiality.
Experience in the Wealth Management, Financial Planning or Investment industry.
Familiarity with Microsoft Systems (Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Excel) and Google Workspace.

Preferred:

Life & Health insurance license.
Industry licenses: 6, 63, 65, 7.
