Associate Director – Manufacturing Processes for High-Temperature Coatings

What you will enjoy doing*

Serve as the technical expert for high-temperature coating manufacturing processes, providing expertise in materials selection, coating performance and process optimization
Lead qualification and approval of materials, processes, suppliers and manufacturing methods while ensuring compliance with engineering, customer and quality requirements
Drive implementation of new business initiatives, process transfers and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities
Establish and standardize technical standards, engineering methodologies and best practices to support operational excellence
Manage, mentor and develop engineers and technicians through training, competency development and team-building activities
Foster collaboration across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and R&D to advance coating technologies, support commercialization efforts and drive innovation

What makes you great

You will have a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or a related technical discipline
Bring over 10+ years of experience in advanced coating manufacturing and materials engineering with a strong focus on relevant technologies and applications
A proven track record of developing, managing and deploying new material and coating technologies into production environments
Leadership skills with a record of managing technical teams, driving cross-functional collaboration and executing complex technical projects
Strong background in aerospace propulsion, gas turbines, power generation, or other high-temperature industrial applications; experience with tooling, masking, equipment design, and aviation qualification processes is highly valued
Demonstrate technical and operational flexibility, including ABB robotic programming (preferred) and willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily domestically with some international travel
