Full Job Description

JOB DUTIES:

1) Oversee & actively participate in accounting functions for the KY & TN plant locations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset management, General Accounting, month-end close, etc.

2) Lead the development of the annual budgets and mid-year revisions/reforecasts for both the KY & TN locations, working closely with department managers & providing accurate data to executive management.

3) Prepare, analyze, and submit internal and external financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.

4) Maintain and supervise standard cost accounting processes, including cost updates & variance analysis, as well as assisting with efforts in cost reduction activities.

5) Prepare for and actively support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reviews while serving as the primary liaison with auditors and tax professionals.

6) Manage daily and monthly cash activities, including account reconciliations, cash forecasting and cash flow analysis.

7) Coordinate & oversee monthly cycle counts & bi-annual physical inventory counts, including reconciliation and investigation of inventory variances.

8) Partner with other departments to provide financial analysis, resolve accounting issues, and support business decision-making.

9) Lead, coach, and develop accounting personnel while actively participating in day-to-day accounting activities and department operations.

10) Complete all Customer and Bank financial information requests.

11) Participate in daily & monthly meetings with management staff.

12) Support company in QCD efforts to achieve company goals.

13) Support operations in maintaining a safe work environment by participating in safety initiatives and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and 5S standards, in pursuit of company goal of 0 accidents.

14) Supports operations in maintaining compliance with laws and regulations as relates to finance, employment, safety, environmental, etc.

15) Promotes a positive work environment/good team member morale through proper 5C.

16) Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

17) Support ISO activities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to travel to Tennessee location once per quarter.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Requires strong understanding of cost accounting preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with 2-4 years of automotive accounting experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory, management, or leadership experience.
JD Edwards ERP system experience helpful.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a collaborative work style across departments.

This is a hands-on management position responsible for actively performing accounting functions while leading and developing the accounting team.

This position has accounting responsibility for both the Kentucky and Tennessee manufacturing facilities and is based at the FTS-Kentucky plant.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
