Responsibilities
Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Provide animal care and husbandry for livestock and poultry, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being through feeding, cleaning, and routine health checks.
Perform equipment repairs using welding, hand tools, and basic mechanical knowledge to keep machinery in top condition.
Support livestock handling activities including managing animal movement, pen maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards in animal production.
Assist with clearing of the land, for future growth.
Conduct general farm maintenance tasks such as fencing repairs, equipment lubrication, and facility cleaning to uphold safety standards.
Skills
Hands-on experience operating farm machinery including tractors, forklifts, and heavy equipment; certification is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude with skills in equipment repair, welding, and routine maintenance of agricultural machinery.
Knowledge of livestock management practices including animal handling, health monitoring, and husbandry techniques.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely while maintaining high safety standards in production settings.
Familiarity with irrigation systems, greenhouse operations, horticulture practices, and outdoor work environments.
Strong organizational skills with basic math proficiency for inventory management and measurements; experience with maintenance operations (MRO) is advantageous.
Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work across various weather conditions; experience with heavy lifting required.
Understanding of safety protocols related to farm operations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members.
Experience working with hand tools and small equipment maintenance to support ongoing farm needs.
