Full Job Description

Certified Surgical Technologist — Outpatient Cosmetic Surgery Center

Ingram Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our growing outpatient cosmetic surgery practice in Nashville.

We are a small, happy, patient-focused surgical team with a positive work environment, high standards, and a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and excellent patient care. This is a great opportunity for a CST who enjoys working in a focused surgical setting where the team knows one another, supports one another, and takes pride in doing things the right way.

The Certified Surgical Technologist is an important member of our surgical team and works closely with the surgeon, anesthesia personnel, RN, and other staff before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a busy but supportive outpatient OR environment.

Responsibilities

The CST will assist with all aspects of surgical case preparation, intraoperative support, and post-procedure turnover, including:

Preparing the operating room for scheduled surgical procedures
Assembling instruments, supplies, equipment, and other necessary items for each case
Demonstrating knowledge of surgical procedures and the scrub tech role
Maintaining sterile technique and supporting safe surgical care
Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures
Properly using, caring for, cleaning, and sterilizing instruments, supplies, and equipment
Assisting with stocking, storing, and maintaining adequate OR supplies
Maintaining and updating instrument cards, tray lists, and surgeon preference cards
Following exposure control plans, including bloodborne and airborne pathogen protocols
Helping maintain a clean, efficient, organized, and safe surgical environment

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

Certified as a Surgical Technologist
Experienced in the operating room
Professional, punctual, and dependable
Detail-oriented and organized
Friendly, calm, and team-oriented
Committed to patient safety and excellent surgical care
Comfortable working in a small outpatient surgical practice
Interested in cosmetic or plastic surgery

Prior cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery, or outpatient surgery center experience is preferred, but the right attitude, reliability, and commitment to high-quality patient care are just as important.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Completion of a Surgical Technologist program required
NBSTSA certification or equivalent surgical technologist certification required
Current CPR certification required
