Family Practice Physician (MD/DO) · Hernando County

We’re a leading provider in Florida with 23 employer-sponsored healthcare centers that serve schools, city and county governments, sheriff's offices and fire departments. Our goal? What You’ll Do

As our Family Practice Provider you’ll be the guide. Meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients in the health center, as well as prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery, prevent future health issues and promote a healthier lifestyle.
We keep caseloads manageable with 12-17 patients a day and no double bookings, you’ll have the time you need to focus on each individual as a person rather than a number.

Schedule: Mon 8am - 5pm, Tues & Wed 8am - 3pm, Thurs 10am - 7pm, Friday and Saturday rotation 9a-1p (2nd and the 4th) Saturday 9a-1p (1st and 3rd)

Responsibilities:

Provide preventive, acute, and chronic care to patients
Provide health services such as initial worker’s comp evaluation, occupational and pre-employment physicals and screenings
Conduct histories and physical examinations, working with patients to develop treatment plans
Prescribe and dispense medications, educate, and advise on medical issues as needed
Promote wellness educational programs
Maintain patient confidence and ensure confidentiality of patient care information

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited medical school
Board Eligible
Current and unrestricted Florida medical license
Dispensing license (Florida) or willing to obtain one
DEA license
BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers

Preferred Skills:

Experience in primary or urgent care setting
Perform GYN care and well women exams
