The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Coordinator is responsible for the operations of the Nature Coast Volunteer Center to include, but not limited to, the day-to-day management, monitoring, and programming of RSVP. Provides customer service and assistance to clients and volunteers, runs routine reports, and handles complex assignments. Acts as Project Director for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) grant.This position is grant funded. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Organizes and plans all volunteer and station recruitment efforts in conjunction with the Nature Coast Volunteer Center Coordinator.Organizes, plans, and coordinates events such as Volunteer Fairs, healthy food drive, socks and shoes drive, and Volunteer Recognition events in conjunction with the Nature Coast Volunteer Center Coordinator.Attends speaking engagements to promote programming.Creates and distributes quarterly newsletter.Manages all functions of ESF 15 including, but not limited to, disaster preparedness, recruitment of volunteers during times of disaster, and management of donations during times of disaster.Performs data entry of volunteer information, volunteer hours and mileage into Volunteer Reporter and Excel spreadsheets for tracking reports.Maintains registered volunteer files, volunteer station files, and other program files.Oversees grant program compliance issues and yearly monitoring.Acts as Staff Liaison to the Friends of the Nature Coast Volunteer Center board and the RSVP Advisory Council.Reviews and approves volunteer travel vouchers for accuracy before submission for reimbursement to the Accounting section.Prepares and presents reports, as required.Assists volunteers with completing the various required paperwork.Performs Level II (fingerprinting) background screenings for new volunteers, as required.Serves as backup to the Nature Coast Volunteer Center Coordinator, as needed.Drives and/or operates a county vehicle or equipment and must obey all safety policies, and roadway rules and laws.Performs other duties as required.
