Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Prep/Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well under pressure, and has strong attention to detail. This role is critical to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

● Execute menu items consistently according to recipes, standards, and plating guidelines

● Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies (mise en place)

● Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout service

● Work collaboratively with kitchen team to ensure timely ticket execution

● Follow all food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe knowledge preferred)

● Assist with prep work, inventory, and restocking as needed

● Properly handle, store, and label food items

● Communicate effectively with chefs, managers, and front-of-house staff

Qualifications

● 1–3+ years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen (restaurant experience required)

● Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques

● Ability to work on multiple stations (grill, sauté, fry, pantry preferred)

● Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices

● Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

● Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

● Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Experience

● Experience in high-volume or scratch kitchens

● Familiarity with seasonal menus and local sourcing

● Culinary school training or equivalent hands-on experience Compensation & Benefits
