We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide direct implementation of behavior-analytic services. This role involves working closely with clients to improve their, included but not limited to, social, communication, and self-care skills through the use of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. You will be required to implement behavior analytic interventions to reduce maladaptive behaviors that a client may engage in (e.g., aggression, noncompliance, self-injury, elopement, etc.). In addition, maintaining supervision and safety of clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior treatment plans designed by the BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
- Provide one-on-one or group therapy services to clients using ABA techniques.
- Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and other clinical assessments.
- Participate in training and team meetings to discuss administrative concerns, client progress and strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of sessions and client progress.
- Communicate effectively about clients with team members.
- Follow ethical guidelines and standards of practice in behavior analysis.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in psychology, education, or a related field is a plus.
- Fundamental understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and patient approach to working with clients and families.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to remain in a busy and or loud room for extended periods while working with clients.
-Ability to be flexible to the variable needs of clients (e.g., very active or more sedentary).
-Ability to move quickly or run in the event a client attempts to elope from a safe space.
- Ability to move or lift up to 25 pounds as part of client support or materials setup.
- Visual and auditory ability to observe client behavior and interactions.
- Capacity to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors in a calm, professional manner.
- Mental acuity to assess client needs, implement strategies, and track progress effectively.
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily performed in clinic or classroom.
- May involve exposure to varying levels of noise.
- Flexibility to adapt to different work environments based on client needs.
Work Schedule and Shifts:
Our clinics operate Monday–Friday with opportunities for later afternoon and Saturday appointments. RBT schedules are assigned based on client needs, campus coverage, and staff availability, and may be adjusted with reasonable notice.
Shift options may include:
- Shift 1 (Day): 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM
- Shift 2 (Afternoon/Evening): 9:45 AM – 6:45 PM
- Flex (Full-Time): A 40 hour/week schedule that may vary by day to support coverage needs (e.g., afternoons, make-ups, call-outs, and/or Saturday appointments when scheduled).
- Part-Time: 16–31 hours/week, scheduled based on service needs (often to support peak hours, afternoons, and/or Saturdays).
Employees must be punctual, ready to begin services at their scheduled start time, and complete required documentation and end-of-day tasks prior to clocking out.
Non-Client Time Expectations:
When not directly assigned to a client session, RBTs are expected to remain available and contribute to clinic operations and client support. Tasks may vary by campus and day, and may include (but are not limited to):
- Session preparation and materials (e.g., setting up therapy spaces, preparing BCBA-approved materials/programs, organizing reinforcers, ensuring devices are ready).
- Clinical support (e.g., data entry/graphing, organizing binders/materials, assisting with group activities or skill practice as directed).
- Environment readiness (e.g., sanitizing/resetting rooms and materials, maintaining a safe and organized clinic space).
- Communication and coordination (e.g., confirming daily schedules, relaying updates to supervisors, supporting parent communication as directed by the BCBA/leadership).
- Training and professional development (e.g., assigned trainings, team meetings, competency checks).
- Operational tasks as assigned (e.g., restocking supplies, preparing client materials, supporting clinic flow).
Additional duties may be assigned as needed to ensure consistent, high-quality client care and efficient clinic operations.

Salary Range: $18/hour to $26/hour (based on experience, education and FT/PT position)
