POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Facilities Manager oversees facility operations, maintenance programs, and infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable site performance. This role leads preventative maintenance, vendor management, and facility projects while ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with operational goals. The position is responsible for long-term facility planning, system reliability, and continuous improvement. Additionally, the Facilities Manager supports maintenance needs for retail locations across North Florida through direct work or coordination of field support teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilities Leadership & Team Management

Lead and manage the facilities and maintenance teams, providing direction, prioritization, and performance oversight. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Maintenance Program & CMMS Oversight

Create, implement, and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all facility systems and equipment. Oversee and optimize the use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

Facility Systems & Infrastructure Oversight

Maintain oversight of all building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, irrigation, and environmental controls. Provide guidance on troubleshooting complex facility, mechanical, and system issues.

Retail Facilities Support (Northern Region)

Oversee maintenance and repair support for retail locations across the northern half of Florida. Travel to retail sites as needed to assess issues, support repairs, or oversee critical maintenance work.

Vendor & Contractor Management

Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with vendors providing maintenance, repair, and facility services. Oversee contractor selection, scope development, and contract negotiation.

Facility Projects & Capital Improvements

Lead construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects from planning through execution. Coordinate internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, regulations, and company policies. Conduct facility inspections and identify risks related to infrastructure, equipment, or operations.

Budgeting & Financial Oversight

Develop and manage the facilities and maintenance budget. Track spending and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising reliability or safety.

Operational Alignment & Cross-Department Collaboration

Provide input on facility impacts related to operational projects and expansion initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Process Development

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across facilities and maintenance operations. Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve reliability, response time, and cost control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

5+ years of experience in facilities management, maintenance management, or industrial operations.
Strong understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and CMMS platforms.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving performance.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be at least 21 years of age and pass required background screening.
Ability to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Ability to travel within the state as needed.

Preferred:

Experience in regulated industries such as cannabis, pharmaceuticals, food production, or manufacturing.
Experiance and knowledge in Greenhouse infrastructures.
Experience managing facility construction or capital improvement projects.
Experience supporting multi-site or retail facility operations.
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Trade certifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Ability to work in indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse environments as needed.
Ability to travel within the state as required (up to ~50%).
