Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This vital role combines comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities with Administrative duties, ensuring the smooth financial operations and administrative efficiency of our organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a strong foundation in accounting principles and software. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting overall office functions to foster a productive work environment.

Responsibilities

Manage full cycle bookkeeping including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance using QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial data in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure financial integrity across all accounts.
Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget analyses for internal review and external reporting.
Handle payroll processing and accurately manage tax filings and compliance requirements related to employment taxes.
Maintain organized office operations by managing supplies, coordinating administrative tasks, and supporting staff with technical accounting needs.
Assist with governmental accounting requirements and ensure adherence to relevant regulations for non-profit or corporate entities as applicable.
Perform account analysis by reviewing debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
Answer phones and maintain customer relations.

Experience

Proven experience as a bookkeeper with a strong background in corporate accounting.
Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks.
Solid understanding of GAAP standards along with experience in double entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex account reconciliation tasks including bank reconciliation and account analysis.
