Cavalier Courier & Process Service (Cavalier) is seeking a process server & delivery driver to join our Office in Leesburg in this Part-Time role! As a process server, your responsibilities would involve delivering legal documents, serving court papers, and assisting with field operations across the DC Metro-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) region.
Additionally, this role offers occasional opportunities to volunteer for nationwide travel assignments across the U.S. This is an in-person and hands-on role at our Leesburg office which offers a variety of assignments, exposure to high-profile legal cases, and the chance to apply critical thinking in dynamic, real-world situations, making every day on the road and in the field unique.

As a Process Server at Cavalier, You Will:
- Serve legal documents (summonses, subpoenas, and other court papers) for ongoing court cases
- Deliver, pickup, and retrieve court, law firm, and client documents accurately and on time
- Locate and gather information on individuals in the field
- File motions, affidavits, and other legal documents as needed
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and document recipients, maintaining discretion and professionalism in all interactions
- Maintain accurate records of all service attempts, deliveries, and assignments

Requirements for this Job:
- Be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Own a smartphone with high-speed data for navigation and mobile app use
- Have strong English written and verbal communication skills
- Be comfortable working independently, and using real-time judgment with access to staff support
- Willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
- Safe, cautious, and confident driving in the DC-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) area
- Be professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting with others
- Be consistent, honest, and maintains high integrity when signing sworn statements

Our Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or familiarity with legal services, customer service, driving, or delivery roles
- Company vehicles are available on a limited basis; personal vehicle preferred (mileage is reimbursed at $0.725 per mile)
- Conversational or fluent Spanish speaking skills (bilingual pay differential up to $2/hr)
- Having a clean driving record with minimal traffic violations or at-fault accidents
- Excellent analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution, and with the ability to make rapid, sound decisions, and assess information accuracy in the field
