Full Job Description

Citadel Insurance is looking for top talent to join our team as an Associate Broker. We are an energetic, team-driven, fast paced and rapidly growing organization who seeks to celebrate success and reward results.

Each Associate Broker is a critical member of our production teams, responsible for:

Supporting the Lead Broker with the technical aspects of the account placement process including creation of submission, evaluation of submission for exposures and required coverages, missing information, market direction, pricing, contract language, follow through with markets, and quoting to clients.
Maintain cooperative and dependable relationships with retail agencies and brokerages. Make marketing calls to agencies/brokerages on behalf of the Lead Broker.
Supporting the Lead Broker in the service and market placement of Lead Broker’s portfolio.
Working with Lead Broker to learn successful account placement communication and negotiating strategies with insurance companies and clients.
Working with the Lead Broker to build new individual relationship as well as enhance current relationships with customers through contact and sales calls.
Supporting Lead Broker in the achievement of targeted revenue goals.
Gaining broad knowledge of commercial insurance and company product lines with the goal of gaining knowledge in all facets of their duties and becoming a Lead Wholesale Broker.

Ideal team member would possess:

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience and knowledge considered.
3 or more years of relevant experience in a commercial insurance brokerage or underwriting role helpful but not required.
History of being able to build trusted working relationships
Highest level of customer relationship skills, sales management and negotiating talent to drive results.
Independent judgement is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.
Critical attention to details.
Proficient in Microsoft office including Power Point, Word, Outlook and Excel.
State Licensing – where required
Ability to travel on short notice; travel could be significant.
