Full Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Tenzing Partners is seeking an organized, proactive, and people-focused HR Generalist to support the human resources needs of our growing portfolio of companies. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support across multiple businesses while helping maintain compliance, improve employee experience, and build scalable HR processes.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-minded, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with leadership across a diverse portfolio of companies while contributing to the continued growth and success of our organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Relations & HR Support

Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers across assigned companies.
Respond to employee questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, leave administration, and employment practices.
Assist managers with employee coaching, performance concerns, and corrective action documentation.
Support conflict resolution while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Help foster a positive workplace culture through consistent communication and employee engagement initiatives.

Recruiting & Onboarding

Coordinate recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer preparation.
Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
Ensure all employment documentation is completed accurately and maintained in accordance with company policies.
Coordinate offboarding activities, exit interviews, and separation documentation.

Compliance & Policy Administration

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Assist with employee handbook updates, HR policies, and internal procedures.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Support audits related to personnel files, I-9 documentation, payroll, and benefits.

Benefits & Leave Administration

Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and questions.
Coordinate open enrollment activities.
Administer leave requests including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other protected leaves.
Work with benefit providers to resolve employee issues.

Payroll Support

Partner with payroll to ensure employee information is accurate and up to date.
Process employee status changes including hires, promotions, transfers, compensation adjustments, and terminations.
Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies.

HR Systems & Reporting

Maintain employee information within HRIS systems.
Generate HR reports and metrics for management.
Track employee headcount, turnover, recruiting metrics, and compliance deadlines.
Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.

Special Projects

Participate in HR initiatives that support company growth.
Assist with acquisitions, company integrations, and organizational changes.
Support training and development initiatives.
Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of Human Resources experience.
Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and HRIS systems.

Preferred

Experience supporting multiple companies or locations.
Experience with ADP or other payroll systems.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
Experience in a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) or multi-entity environment.
Experience supporting organizations through rapid growth.
