Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly ethical, detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper Assistant to support our financial department and assist with various administrative duties as well. The ideal candidate must possess strong accounting skills and be proficient in QuickBooks. This role requires am experienced, proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring accuracy in all financial documentation and reporting. Possibility for professional advancement.

Responsibilities

Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.
Utilize financial software for tracking and reporting purposes, ensuring data integrity.
Apply knowledge of financial concepts and bookkeeping to support daily operations including billing, bank deposits and payment requests.
Work with outsourced payroll department on various tasks.
Assist with technical accounting tasks as required, providing support to the finance team.
Trust Account support.
Administrative Assistant duties including general office tasks, client intake, court filings, front desk and general office support
Assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.

Qualifications

Previous experience in an office setting is required.
Proficiency in general ledger accounting principles and practices is required.
Experience with financial software, including QuickBooks, Soft Pro Select or similar applications, is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations is preferred.
Prior experience in an administrative or accounting role is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience dealing with the public.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
