We are a locally owned Keyrenter Property Management franchise specializing in single-family homes and small multifamily properties throughout our market.

Your Role

As the Operations Manager, you'll be the operational leader of our office, ensuring our residents, property owners, and team receive outstanding service every day.

This is a true player-coach position—you'll lead by example, jump in where needed, and continuously look for ways to improve how we operate.

You'll oversee our leasing and maintenance operations while helping develop scalable processes that support future growth.

What You'll DoLead Daily Operations

Direct the day-to-day workflow of our office
Prioritize tasks and ensure excellent service for owners and residents
Keep work moving efficiently using AppFolio, LeadSimple, and other technology
Partner closely with the franchise owner on priorities, strategy, and business growth

Lead and Support the Team

Coach and support leasing and maintenance team members
Foster accountability, collaboration, and professional development
Help create an environment where people enjoy coming to work

Deliver Outstanding Resident Service

Respond professionally to resident questions regarding leases, maintenance, and rent
Resolve concerns with empathy, fairness, and a solutions-focused mindset
Consistently enforce lease terms while complying with company policies and North Carolina law

Build Strong Owner Relationships

Provide proactive communication regarding property performance, maintenance, and leasing activity
Present repair recommendations and solutions with transparency and professionalism
Build trust through timely communication and dependable follow-through

Oversee Leasing Operations

Ensure vacant homes are market-ready as quickly as possible
Support the Leasing Coordinator with accurate property information
Help maximize occupancy while maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations

Coordinate Maintenance

Review and prioritize maintenance requests
Dispatch vendors and monitor work through completion
Keep residents and owners informed throughout the repair process
Help balance quality service with cost-effective solutions

Administrative & Financial Oversight

Monitor rent collections and assist with delinquency follow-up
Maintain organized digital records and documentation
Support lease compliance and administrative processes

Improve the Business

Develop and document efficient operating procedures
Identify opportunities to improve systems, communication, and customer experience
Help build a scalable operation that supports continued growth

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

Active North Carolina Real Estate License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
Experience in residential property management, real estate operations, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Comfortable learning and using technology and property management software
Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout our service area (car allowance provided)

Preferred Experience

Assistant Property Manager, Property Manager, Leasing Manager, Maintenance Coordinator, or similar experience
Knowledge of North Carolina landlord-tenant laws (or willingness to learn quickly)
Experience working in a growing small business where flexibility and initiative are valued

Work Environment

Full-time leadership position
Small, collaborative, and growing office
Hybrid flexibility may be available based on experience and business needs

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation includes:

Base Annual Salary of $55,000-60,000
Quarterly and annual performance bonuses tied to company growth
