Full Time multi-tasking, dependable, detail oriented and organized Accounting Specialist needed to keep records and reconcile accounts. The qualified candidate will have strong quantitative and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in accounting functions and software programs (QuickBooks). We’re looking for a team player with a keen interest in growing within the company and is open to assist in other tasks if necessary. Since our business environment is always changing, a willingness to learn and the ability to adapt are essential.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Verifies information and maintains accounts receivable reports including but not limited to monthly sales, open invoices, and aging reports.

· Using documents to verify, record, and process transactions.

· Assisting the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, developing budgets, preparing taxes, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.

· Speaking with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and that payments are received in a timely manner.

· Receives checks and prepares deposit slips; verifies remittances against business accounts; deposits checks daily.

Receives credit card receipts and reconciles against corporate credit cards on a monthly basis.
Follows up on account statements and other discrepancies regarding payment of accounts; serves as liaison between departments and vendors in the resolution of administrative problems and inquiries.
Maintains accounting department files and records.
Enters information into accounting data entry system.
Assists with month-end close and runs monthly reports as required.
Assists with payroll/time keeping if required
Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, typing, and mailing.
Assists with special accounting projects as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·Degree in Accounting

· Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts.

· Proficient on QuickBooks.

· Spanish is a plus

· Acute attention to detail.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Commitment to excellence and high standards.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing

Job Types: Contract, Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
